As part of the President’s initiative to Reset the country, The Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council organized a Cleanup Exercise on Friday, 28^th February, 2025 .This exercise took place in all communities within the Municipality which included Shiashie, Abelemkpe, Roman Ridge, Westland, Santana, La Bawaleshie, Airport, Mpeasem, American House and Okponglo led by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Benard Sakyiama.

 Speaking to the community members during the Clean  Up Exercise, The Municipal Coordinating Director called on all residents to take an active role in contributing to the effort as the assembly moves forward with their commitment to improving the environmental health and sanitation of the area. Also, the Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Shani Mutala added that the community's participation in this exercise is essential which he emphasized “we need everyone to take responsibility for keeping our environment clean and healthy, and together, we can make a real difference”.
