AYAWASO WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY MCE PAYS A VISIT TO BECE CANDIDATES IN THE MUNICIPALITY

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly, Hon. Dr. Michael Mensah visited some of the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Examination Centres within the Municipality on 4th May 2026. This exercise was to enable the MCE and his team interact with the candidates as well as encourage them.  The centers included the Mary Mother of Good Counsel Basic School, University of Ghana Basic School, Accra College Demonstration Basic School and Bethany Methodist School.  This exercise was conducted with the support of the Education Director for Ayawaso West Municipality Madam Judith Ennin, the Member of Parliament Hon. John Setor Dumelo and some Heads of the Assembly.

According to the Municipal Education Director, six centers would be used for the examinations this year. Also, One Thousand, Three Hundred and Sixty Two (1,362) BECE candidates of both 38 public and private schools would sit for the exams which includes eleven (11) reformers of the Roman Ridge Juvenile Prisons.

Addressing the students, the Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Dr. Michael Mensah advised the candidates to study hard as well as urged them to ensure they pass their exams to enable them get their preferred choice of schools which would positively affect their future. Also, Madam Judith Ennin, the Education Director for Ayawaso West Municipality added that She is confident the candidates would excel because they have been well prepared.
