The Municipal Chief Executive for Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly Hon Dr. Michael Mensah on Saturday 23^rd  August 2025, held a community engagement with residents of  Christian Center Electoral Area at the American House Kia Station The meeting served as a platform for the MCE to further solicit their concerns to enable the assembly address them for effective development in their community.

The meeting brought together several residents of the electoral area, Unit Committee Members and opinion leaders. Also present at the occasion were the Assembly Members of the electoral area, Hon. Richard Asante and Hon. Emmanuel Adjei Tutuani, and some officials of the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly.

During the program, the Municipal Coordinating Director Mr. Benard K.P. Sakyiama on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) addressed the audience thanked them for honoring the meeting and emphasized that the aim of the meeting is to inquire their challenges to enable the assembly determine appropriate solutions.

Having given the opportunity to share their problems and concerns, the residents warmly welcomed the assembly team applauded them for such initiative. Some of the concerns raised included the need for drains, plead with GIRDCO to bear with squatters under high tension, waste containers, public toilets, sanitation, security tension within the community.

Appropriate answers were provided to the mentioned challenges and that the assembly would ensure to resolve these challenges and promote the development of their community. Residents especially food vendors were advised to practice good hygiene and always ensure to be screened every year to avoid the spread of diseases through vending to other residents.
