The Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly on Tuesday 29^th September 2026 brought together key personalities for a Stakeholders Forum held under the theme “For Inclusive Development in Ayawaso West.’’

The forum provided an important platform for stakeholders to reflect on the progress of the municipality and engage in meaningful discussions on how to further strengthen development and improve the well-being of residents.

Speaking at the Stakeholders Forum, the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Dr. Michael Mensah said the development of the municipality cannot be achieved by the Assembly alone, but requires collective ideas, expertise, resources and partnerships of all who live, work and invest in the municipality. ‘We have residents with diverse expertise and experience, as well as business that contribute significantly to the employment, investment, innovation, and economic activity’ He however stated that these opportunities comes with responsibilities that must be addressed collaboratively, including sanitation, drainage, traffic management, security, environmental management, physical development, road infrastructure, waste management and the general quality of life.

The programme featured speeches by Hon. Linda Akweley Ocloo - Greater Accra Regional Minister and Hon. John S. Dumelo - Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly who emphasized the importance of collaboration, community participation, and collective responsibilities in achieving sustainable development.

Participants subsequently engaged in an open and constructive exchange of ideas on ways to strengthen the municipality. The discussions highlighted the importance of partnership and continued collaboration among the Assembly, residents, businesses, community leaders, and other stakeholders.

The forum ended with a renewed commitment to working together towards a stronger, more inclusive, and sustainable Ayawaso West Municipality.
