The Municipal Chief Executive for Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly Hon Dr. Michael Mensah on Saturday 15th November 2025, held a community engagement with residents of Roman Ridge Electoral Area at the Engineering Center. The meeting served as a platform for the MCE to further solicit residents’ concerns to enable the assembly address them for effective development in their community.
The meeting brought together several residents of the electoral area, Traditional Council, Unit Committee Members and opinion leaders. Also present at the occasion were the Assembly Member of the electoral area, Hon. Adam Yusif and some officials of the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly.
Giving his address, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Dr. Michael Mensah appreciated residents for honoring the meeting. He added that residents are essential stakeholders of the assembly so, the purpose of the meeting is to find out their challenges to help the assembly determine appropriate solutions for the benefit of their community.
Residents sincerely welcomed the MCE and his entourage as well as applauded them for such initiative. They took turns to highlight their problems for which some included the streetlights, security issues, sanitation, construction of roads and water shortage. Also, residents were educated on available jobs provide by the Youth Employment Agency to help resolve unemployment issues.
Their concerns were duly noted by the MCE and his team for which they provided appropriate responses to the concerns raised. The MCE further urged residents to involve themselves in the monthly clean up exercises to make their community clean. He assured residents that the Assembly would try their possible best the provide solutions to all the issues raised and further thanked them for making the meeting a success.
