The Ayawaso West Municipality on Tuesday 3^rd October,2023 signed its annual edition of my first day at school. The event is to welcome and usher basic school children into the next academic level which is done every year.

The team visited eight public school within the Ayawaso Municipality to welcome the new pupils and presented them gifts containing books, erasers, sharpeners, pencils, drinks and biscuits to encourage them in their new step in academics.

The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Sandra Owusu Ahinkorah, reciprocation with the pupils at the Accra college of Education Demonstration school and the University Staff Village Primary school was well pleasing. She took the opportunity to encouraged and advised both pupils to learn hard, she also urged teachers and caregivers to take very good care of the pupils and adhere to all safety measures to ensure the children are safe in the learning environment.

The event was graced by the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Sandra Owusu Ahinkorah, the Municipal Education director, Ms. Margaret Kaba, Municipal Coordinating director Mr. Bernard K.P Sakyiama and some staff from the municipal Education Directorate, to make known to the pupils that education is the key to success if only they tighten their sit belt well to enter into next academic level.

The Municipal Education Director Madam Margaret Kaba, on behalf of the Hon. MCE and the team welcome and usher the pupils to school and further advised the teachers to make learning very interesting for the pupils to make them feel happy in school. She encouraged the pupils to come to school early and regularly so that they could become doctors, teachers, lawyers, nurses in future if they take their studies serious and adhere to all rule and regulations.
