SOD CUTTING CEREMONY AT DWORWULU JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL.

The Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly held a SOD cutting event on the 19th of January 2026 at Dworwulu  Junior  High School. The SOD cutting ceremony was led by the MCE Hon. Dr. Michael Mensah and the Member of  Parliament  for Ayawaso West Assembly, Hon John Setor Dumelo to commence the construction of an 18-unit classroom with the help of some Assembly members and some other officials at Ayawaso West Municipal. To witness the symbolic start of this project event was attended by key stakeholders, including Dzorwulu Traditional Council, some officials of the Assembly, school administrators, Assembly members and, community residents  of Dzorwulu.

Speaking at the ceremony, the MCE Hon. Dr. Michael Mensah , stated that the project forms part of government commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure and ensuring that every child has access to a conducive learning space. He emphasized that overcrowding in existing classrooms has negatively affected teaching and learning and the new facility will significantly improve academic delivery in the area.

The MCE further urged the contractor to begin the work as soon as possible and he will be glad if the project takes between six(6)  months to one(1) year, and also all the needed funding is readily available.

Also, the Member of Parliament, Hon. John Setor Dumelo advised the contractors to work diligently and the school authorities and students should properly maintain the facility after its completion.
