The Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly on the 2^nd February 2026 donated some logistics to the Mempeasem hospital to support the operations of the hospital. The logistics included 30 pieces of hospital bedsheets, an examination bed,  2 desktop computers, 2 dispensing chairs, printer and 4-in-1 workstation. Present at the event were the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Gordon Dormayele, Municipal Health Director, Dr. Akua Addy, Traditional Authorities of Mempeasem and La Bawaleshie areas, some officials of the Assembly and some residents.

Receiving the items, the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. John Amissah, expressed his gratitude to the Assembly for their response to the several supports requests sent by the hospital and thus this donation would significantly boost healthcare.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dr. Michael Mensah stated that this guesture is to support the provision of quality health care to residents in the municipality. He added that the assembly would ensure to provide more needed logistics to the hospital.

Also, the Municipal Health Director, Dr. Akua Addy emphasized that the donated items would greatly improve healthcare services at the hospital. She further added that the hospital would utilize the items effectively to enhance health care services in the municipality.
