The Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly on the 26th January 2026 donated some logistics to schools in the municipality. The items were 250 office chairs and 217 office tables to improve teaching and learning for students and teachers. The donation, which is part of the President’s initiative to address the long-standing issue of inadequate furniture in schools within the municipality took place at the Ayawaso West Education Office.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dr. Michael Mensah emphasized that the gesture was meant to augment the existing chairs and tables making it easier teaching and learning. The Municipal Chief Executive urged the school authorities to properly maintain the furniture to ensure its longevity.
The Head of Education Directorate for the Municipality, Mrs. Judith Amoateng Aning, welcomed the gesture and thanked the MCE for his tireless efforts in ensuring that schools in the municipality received the necessary support. She added that the furniture will serve both headteachers and teachers, making them comfortable and motivated to deliver quality education to students.

The event ended with a charge to teachers to properly maintain the logistics and a promise of more to come.
